BioWorks explores sustainable ways to integrate living materials into making. It tests two methods: growing biological matter in molds and using fabricated scaffolds to direct growth. Treating living systems as collaborators, the project shapes form, surface, and material transformation by creating growth conditions, guiding growth with geometry, then stabilizing outcomes into functional or spatial objects. The work bridges digital fabrication, biogenic materials, craft, and environmental installation.
